Three years ago at the age of 25, I completed a journey of setting foot on every continent. I explored the former Yugoslavia, meditated in Sri Lanka, rode camels in Tunisia, visited the oracle at Delphi, got ripped-off by two girls in Beijing, smoked nargile in Istanbul, drove from Alaska to San Francisco, and got smacked by a kangaroo Down Under.
In 1999 I joined the US Army's 1st Calvary Regiment; a 24-hour deployment unit specialized in combat intelligence. They sent me to Tajikistan, Kuwait and Korea, and had the chance to work with with British forces.
After the Army, I headed to Rome for school, and strengthened my passion for design, typography, and the business of advertising. As part of my bachelors, I spent one year in San Francisco learning digital technology and Anthropology.
I was raised in New York City and went to high school in Bogota, Colombia. My dad was a branding mogul, and my mom is an illustrator and fashion designer. From an early age, both entrepreneurs taught me the importance of branding and design in business.
I've been working in Miami for the past three years, juggling the roles of Art Director and Interactive Designer at TURKEL Advertising. I'm ambidextrous in Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, and committed to AE, C4D and LogicPro. I can write AS3, CSS, and HTML. I understand the capabilities of XML, Javascript and PHP. I've lead local design teams and developers abroad.
Visual storytelling and changing culture is my destiny. I am available and willing to relocate.
